What happens in a first consultation?

We talk. You describe your situation, we ask questions, and we give you an honest first read on where you stand and what your options are. There's no obligation to work with us afterwards, and if your matter isn't something we handle well, we'll say so and point you elsewhere.

How much does it cost to work with you?

That depends on the matter. Some questions are resolved in a single conversation; others run for months. After the first consultation we give you a clear estimate of costs and how they're calculated, so there are no surprises later. We'd rather talk about money openly at the start than leave you guessing.

Question 3

Do I really speak with the attorney directly?

Yes. We're a two-person practice by choice. The attorney you meet in the first consultation is the one who handles your case, from the first letter to the final outcome. You won't be passed on to changing contacts.

Question 4

Will my case end up in court?

Accepted Answer

Often not. Many matters are resolved through letters, negotiation, or a settlement, and that's usually faster and less costly for you. But if a hearing becomes necessary, we represent you there too. We'll always tell you honestly which path makes more sense for your situation.

How quickly will I hear back from you?

We aim to respond to calls and messages within one working day. A small practice means short paths: you reach the person who knows your case, not a queue.

What should I bring to our first meeting?

Accepted Answer

Anything relevant you already have: contracts, letters, notices, correspondence, or court documents. If you're not sure what matters, bring it anyway. It's easier for us to set something aside than to work without it. And if you have nothing in writing yet, that's fine too. We can start with a conversation.
